If I gave the speech, this is how I would have ended it.
*I appreciate the time and effort that our commencement speaker put into her speech, but I think she and the world are underestimating us.*
The class of 2009 isn’t blind to the world we are facing. We are graduating at a time of uncertainty and an unstable economy. We are facing challenges and obstacles left by preceding generations. We are going to have to compete to a higher degree in the workforce, and we will have to work hard - but were ready for it. The United States is under new leadership; us. And, were gonna be okay!
